Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Runway (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is an iOS application that helps you track job applications, match resumes to job descriptions using AI, and manage reminders during your job search. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how you can control it.

Runway is developed and maintained by Jayanta Adhikary. By using Runway, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the app's features:

• Account information: Your full name and email address, used to create and manage your account.
• Career profile: Experience level, target industries, desired job roles, and career goals you enter during onboarding or edit later in settings.
• Job application data: Job titles, company names, job descriptions, application stages, salary information, notes, and follow-up dates you add to your pipeline.
• Resume files: PDF files you upload to the app. These are stored securely in cloud storage and used for AI-powered resume-job description matching.
• Reminders: Task titles, types, and due dates you create within the app.
• Device preferences: Whether notifications are enabled or disabled — stored locally on your device only.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate you and maintain your account across devices.
• To display your job pipeline, dashboard, analytics, and reminders.
• To run AI-powered resume-to-job-description matching and generate insights using your resume content and job descriptions. This data is sent to our AI providers (Google Gemini and OpenAI) solely to generate these results.
• To deliver local iOS notifications for reminders you have set, if you have granted notification permission.

4. Third-Party Services

Runway uses the following third-party services to operate:

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or any other third parties beyond the service providers listed above.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase-managed infrastructure with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled — meaning your data is only accessible by your own account. Resume files are stored in a private Supabase storage bucket. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

Notification preferences are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and are not transmitted to our servers.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete all of your data — including your account, job applications, resumes, reminders, and career profile — at any time from within the app:

Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account

Deletion is immediate and irreversible. If you have trouble deleting your account, contact us at jayadky@yahoo.com and we will process the deletion within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Runway is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Platform

Runway is currently available on iOS only. This privacy policy applies to the iOS application available through the Apple App Store.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
